What’s the vision for The Wake?

The Wake is committed to fostering an authentic faith in Jesus Christ within students lives. We desire every student to come to know three main truths.

1. I was created for a relationship with my Creator

2. I belong to Jesus Christ and define who I am by what he says

3. I exist to serve and love others in the world

We accomplish this by emphasizing authentic relationships with peers and leaders through small groups. Our main gathering and special events are all designed to strategically accomplish this vision.

PROJECT PORTLAND

We will be partnering with Vast Church from Sisters, OR to do 5 days of service projects throughout Portland. Our students will use DoH NE as basecamp and launch out into the city to serve in various capacities. Some of the ministries we will be partnering with in the city include: Portland Rescue Mission, Union Gospel Mission, Skatechurch PDX and more. It should be a great week of loving and serving others in the city of portland.
